The Impact of Frame Rate on Flow in Video Games
In the gaming industry, many developers are sacrificing the usability of the game to improve its graphical fidelity. It was hypothesized that the frame rate in a video game has an effect of the player’s flow experience. Specifically, a game running at 60fps (frames per second) will consistently achieve flow more than the 30fps counterpart.
35 Participants were in this study and ran through the game Rayman Legends at 30fps and 60fps.
An eye tracker was used to monitor the participant's eye movements while playing the game.
A logistic regression was used based on the time block and the two frame rates to help see how time affected entering flow.
The odds ratio was calculated as well based on the time block and the frame rate to see how likely the response will be.
ANOVA statistical analyses were run to see if there was a significant difference between the two condition.
Industrial Systems Engineering 215: Usability Testing
WPS Office - Usability Test
WPS Office is an all in one app for people to view Documents, PDF's, Presentations, and Spreadsheets on ISO and Android. My group worked to analyze usability of the producing using Human Factor's principles and designed a study to improve the interface of the product.
Both the heuristic analysis and usability testing parameters were developed in order to thoroughly examine the application.
Factors for the usability testing such as the tasks, metrics/measures, participant categories, interview questionnaires, testing materials, methods of analyses, and more were devised and constructed by our team.

Sennheiser - Heuristic Evaluation
Sennheiser is a website that focuses on the enrichment of the listening experience for
both professional and everyday people. They are a German retailer that sells premium headsets,
earbuds, microphones, spare parts, wired and wireless, and many other integrations in the
workplace.
As the sole researcher, the objective of the project was to evaluate the shopping website Sennheiser.
After disseminating the functions and interfaces of Sennheiser, a heuristic analysis was done evaluating these properties.
The local and global Human Factors principles were analyzed to see what the website had violated in the design.

Training Surgeons with Motor Learning - Literature Review
In the pharmaceutical industry, there are thousands of drugs that look and sound similar to one another, that it would be easy to confuse one name for another. People are traditionally unaware that they are given the wrong medication until they were informed by who made the error or if they suffered adverse effects.
A literature review was written to assess the training of new surgeons and the benefits motor learning can have on them.

Errors Related to Medicine Labels - Literature Review
In the pharmaceutical industry, there are thousands of drugs that look and sound similar to one another, that it would be easy to confuse one name for another. People are traditionally unaware that they are given the wrong medication until they were informed by who made the error or if they suffered adverse effects.
A literature review was written to assess the medical errors in hospitals related to medicine labels.
Hospitals with drug labeling in people mistaking the magnitude of dosage and from being given the wrong drug leading to problems for the patients and liability for the hospital.
